Program Content

  • Introduction and overview of risk management as part of the strategic plan for the modern organisation
  • Risk management principles and framework
  • Policies and procedures for effective risk managment including: conduct a risk audit, develop a risk register, develop policies, procedures and training for the organisation, and , access external specialist risk management consultants to facilitate the development of the risk management program
  • Methods for implementing and monitoring the risk management plan
  • Methods for continually evaluating and improving the risk management plan, policies and procedures

Participants will receive a copy of Australian/New Zealand standard: Risk Management 2009 (AS/NZS ISO 31000:2009 Risk Management Guidelines).

This program is nationally accredited and includes assessment at AQF Level 5.

The learning outcomes provide the National Competency Standards for:

  • BSBRSK501A – Manage risk
