[WIM Breakfast] - [Women in Management]
Dominique Schwartz is an ABC television presenter and journalist, most noted for her work as a foreign correspondent. She has covered wars in Africa, the Balkans, Central Asia, and the Middle East and reported from more than forty-five countries around the world.

An intrepid traveller, Dominique has been hunting with the indigenous Inuit people of the High Arctic; trekked illegally through southern Sudan to report on the slave trade; and been "hi-jacked" by orangutans in the forests of Borneo.

In late 1997, after six years globe-trotting for the ABC's "Foreign Correspondent" programme, Dominique was appointed the ABC's Middle East Correspondent. Her coverage of the Palestinian intifada (uprising) was honoured in Australian journalism's Walkley Awards, and she has also won gold at the prestigious New York Festivals for a report on the campaign to end female genital mutilation in West Africa.

Dominique is now ABC-TV's evening news presenter in South Australia and is in demand, both as a speaker and MC. In 2004 she embarked on her most challenging, but rewarding, assignment yet - motherhood!
