Behavioural interviewing is a powerful staff selection technique that helps the interviewer to build a realistic picture of candidates. Also known as 'behavioural event' and 'competency based' interviewing, this technique improves on traditional interviewing methods by enhancing the validity and reliability of selection decisions. This program will give participants the tools to run their own behavioural interviews and a perspective on non-behavioural approaches to interviewing. Participants will also gain insights into improving the whole selection process from designing the interview through to reference checking.
